世界に竹は、600種類あります。その内、中国には約500種類の竹が生息しています。八十山和代氏は、一人で1994年に初めて中国に入り、各人民政府の方々と交流し、1995年に上海美術館、四川省博物館、西安美術学院美術館と日本人初中国3か所巡回展を実行しました
